10. Design and apply KNOWLEDGE
To communicate knowledge requires STRUCTURE, CLARITY, COHERENCE. Using the GG model ensures that you represent your knowlege clearly and concisely. The GG map provides a 'blueprint' for writing - great for mapping talks, exams answers, essays.

The GG map acts as a quick plan. Summarise your knowledge as quick point-form notes, and arrange the notes under each sub-topic or section heading. Make sure that each point follows on from the previous one in a logical sequence.
You can also use your rough plan to plan your content and your time. For example, if you have to do 3,000 words you could organise it this way: introduction, 250 words BODY = 5 sections - 500 words each conclusion - 250 words = 3,000 words. Or, if you're doing a talk, you can plan a 3 min. intro, 5 min for each section, and a 3 min. conclusion. Having this sort of map makes it much easier to keep on track, keep on time, and stick to the point.
